Keep It Simple Solutions
The back office your business hasn't got round to building.
KISS Consulting takes on the financial and administrative work that piles up behind a growing business — the debtors, the costings, the books, the systems nobody has had time to set up — and puts it in order. Engaged by the month or by the project.

Who it's for
Small and growing businesses without a full finance function — builders, shopfitters, manufacturers, labour brokers, owner-operators.
How we work
Remotely, anywhere in South Africa. Work runs to a fixed monthly cycle with agreed delivery dates, not on demand.
What it costs
Indicative rates are published below. Every engagement is scoped and quoted against the work actually in front of it.
Services
Three core · five on requestEight services, all delivered remotely.
Take one service or the whole function. Most engagements start with a single pressing problem — a debtors book that has got away from the business, quotes that keep coming in under cost — and expand from there.
Core
Three services
Debtors & Cash Collection
Remote · monthly retainer
Money owed to a business is the slowest thing on its balance sheet to turn back into cash. This service works the ageing, issues the statements, and pursues what is outstanding — without damaging the customer relationships the business depends on.
You get: a monthly aged debtors report, statements issued on your cycle, follow-up on every overdue account, and a documented debtors process where none exists.
Project Costing & Quoting
Remote · per project or retainer
If a business quotes from memory, prices off last year's numbers, or keeps winning jobs that lose money, the problem is upstream of the quote. This service builds the costing that sits underneath it — materials, labour, margin, contingency — so the true cost of a job is known before a price is committed to.
You get: a costing sheet built to your trade, priced from your own technical drawings and specifications, plus the client-facing quotation off the back of it and early warning on cost risk while there is still time to act.
Built for builders, shopfitters, joiners, installers and small manufacturers.
Reconciliations & Transaction Processing
Remote · monthly retainer
Reconciliation is the work most small businesses are furthest behind on, because it is nobody's favourite job and nothing breaks immediately when it is skipped. Then year end arrives and eleven months of it happen at once.
You get: supplier invoices captured, transactions processed, and bank, credit card and creditor reconciliations completed on a monthly cycle — with any unmatched item queried while somebody still remembers what it was.
Worked inside your own accounting software, whichever you use. Your accountant or bookkeeper takes it from there for the trial balance, annual financial statements and tax.
Payroll processing can be included: payslips, hours, leave and commissions, up to and including the payroll reconciliation. Statutory submissions remain with your registered tax practitioner.
Also offered
Five services
Supplier RFQs & Procurement Support
Remote
Sourcing and comparing supplier pricing, preparing requests for quotation, and maintaining cost benchmarks so it is visible when a supplier's price has quietly drifted upward.
You get: comparable quotes side by side, a maintained benchmark of what you should be paying, and purchase order administration through to payment preparation.
We work inside whatever environment you already run — a corporate procurement portal, your own system, or email and spreadsheets. There is nothing for you to install or change.
Contractor Timesheet & Billing Administration
Remote · monthly cycle
Built for labour brokers, recruitment agencies, IT contracting houses and anyone billing clients off contractor hours. Timesheets collected, the late ones chased, reconciled against contracts, and invoices out on the cut-off date rather than a week after it.
You get: the full monthly billing cycle run to deadline, with a reconciliation showing exactly what was billed against what was worked.
Asset Registers
Remote · built from your records
Tracking assets is easy to overlook when a business starts small — and painful when the accountant asks for the register or an insurance quote is needed.
You get: a counting sheet to work from, and a completed register built from your own records — purchase invoices, existing lists, photographs — with depreciation and insurance schedules, and something maintainable in-house afterwards.
Ongoing maintenance is available monthly or annually.
Owner Support Retainer
Remote · monthly retainer
A fractional personal assistant for an owner-operator. Diary and inbox, supplier and client correspondence, the paperwork that keeps slipping to the bottom of the list, and the recurring admin nobody else has picked up.
You get: a fixed block of hours each month against whatever is actually blocking you, handled with discretion — the role usually involves knowing more about the business than anyone outside it does.
Digital Filing & Admin Systems
Remote · digital records only
When the filing has outgrown wherever it started, this service rebuilds it — around how the business actually works, not how a filing system is supposed to look.
You get: a folder structure, a naming convention and a document workflow, built in whichever storage system you already use and documented so your own staff can keep it running.
Digital records only. Paper filing is not part of this service.
Pricing
Indicative · every engagement quoted to scopePublished so you can budget before you pick up the phone.
These are a starting point, not a price list. What an engagement actually costs depends on the state of the records, the volume of work and the hours it genuinely takes. Every quote is written against a scope agreed with you first.
Start here — fixed fee, no retainer
Debtors Book Review — R1 500, five working days.
We take your ageing as it stands, work the book, and return a written assessment: what is recoverable, what is not, where the process is leaking, and what it would take to fix.
Yours to keep whether or not you engage us further. If you do go on to a retainer within 30 days, the R1 500 comes off the first invoice.
Book a reviewEssential
R3 000/month
8 hours included
A single service, or an owner who needs a steady pair of hands a couple of days a month.
Core
R5 600/month
16 hours included
The usual starting point. Enough for a debtors book and a monthly reconciliation cycle together.
Extended
R9 750/month
30 hours included
A business running most of its finance function through us. Beyond 30 hours, quoted individually.
How the hours work
Hours are tracked and reported monthly. At 80% of the included hours you are told, in writing, before the line is crossed — never after. Beyond that you either move up a tier or the overage is billed at the rate above. Unused hours do not roll over.
Why some things aren't priced here
Clean-up work is the honest example. A business that is "about six months behind" is sometimes eighteen months behind across two systems with no bank statements. Publishing a rate for that would set an expectation neither of us could hold, so it is scoped first and quoted properly.
Terms
Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. Project work is quoted in writing before it starts. No VAT is charged — KISS Consulting is below the R2.3 million registration threshold, so the quoted figure is the figure.
How it works
No obligation to the first conversationFour steps, then a monthly cycle you can set a calendar by.
01
Get in touch
Tell us what isn't working. A WhatsApp or an email is usually enough to establish whether this is the right fit.
02
Scope the work
We agree what's actually in hand — how many accounts, what state the records are in, what "done" looks like.
03
Get a quote
A written quote against that scope, with an engagement letter and a data-handling agreement covering how your records are treated.
04
The cycle starts
Work runs to the dates below, every month. You get the system afterwards, not just the result.
Our service commitments
How the cycle works. Work here is scheduled rather than reactive. The dates above are committed and they hold every month, which is what lets you plan your own month around them. Genuinely urgent work is possible, quoted separately, and agreed before it starts. If what you need is somebody on call through the working day, we will say so on the first conversation rather than take the work and disappoint you in month three.
What you receive

About
The firm and its recordKISS stands for Keep It Simple Solutions. That is the whole idea.
Businesses get complicated as they grow. Systems get bolted onto systems, the filing outgrows the filing cabinet, and the admin quietly becomes bigger than the person doing it. The books slip, the debtors age, the quotes get thinner, and the person least able to spare the time ends up doing it at eleven at night.
KISS Consulting exists for that point — where the work has got too big or too complex for the business to carry on its own, but does not yet justify a finance department. The approach is deliberately unglamorous: work the actual problem, then leave something simple enough behind that it keeps working without us.
Engagements are capped by design. We take on a limited number of clients so that each monthly cycle actually runs to deadline — which is the same principle applied to ourselves.
The principal
The firm is led by its principal — fifteen years in business administration, the last decade of it in finance, across financial services, logistics, legal, hospitality and design-led interiors. The current work is costing and procurement: reading technical drawings and pricing from them daily. English and Afrikaans, both fluent.
A full CV and contactable references are available to prospective clients on request. Ask for them by email and they will be sent through, usually the same working day.

This website collects nothing. The enquiry form does not submit or store any information anywhere. It composes a message and opens it in your own WhatsApp or your own email programme, which you then choose to send. There is no database behind this site, no form handler, and no account.
What we receive when you contact us. Once you send that message, we hold whatever you chose to include — typically your name, your business, your contact details and a description of your problem. We process it to answer your enquiry and, if it goes further, to prepare a quote. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
Technical data. This page loads nothing from anyone else. The typefaces are served from our own site, there are no analytics, no advertising trackers, no embedded widgets and no cookies. The only record of your visit is the ordinary server log kept by our hosting provider.
Third parties. Contacting us by WhatsApp means Meta processes that interaction under its own terms. Our email is hosted by a third-party provider. Some of these providers store data outside South Africa; POPIA section 72 permits this where the recipient is subject to comparable protection or the transfer is necessary to perform a contract with you.
How long we keep enquiries. Twelve months from our last contact with you, unless you become a client — in which case the engagement records are kept for seven years, as tax and company legislation requires.
Your rights. Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to our processing it. Write to tinika@kissconsulting.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator: enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, 010 023 5200.
Security. Devices are encrypted and password-protected, accounts use multi-factor authentication where it is offered, and client records are backed up in encrypted form. Payroll data and banking details are never sent as unprotected email attachments.
Client data — our role is narrower than it looks
When we provide services to a business client, we process personal information on that client's behalf. Under POPIA we are an operator; the client remains the responsible party.
That distinction matters if you are, for example, an employee of one of our clients whose payroll we process. We have no authority to release, correct or delete that information on our own account — those decisions belong to our client. Requests about it should go to them, and if one reaches us we will pass it on and tell you we have.
Every client engagement is covered by a written operator agreement, as POPIA section 21 requires. It commits us to appropriate security measures, to processing only on the client's documented instruction, to notifying them within 24 hours of any suspected breach, and to returning or destroying their records at the end of the engagement.
Access to information (PAIA)
The Promotion of Access to Information Act gives you a right to request records we hold. Our PAIA manual sets out the categories of records held, how to make a request, the prescribed fees, the timeframes, and the grounds on which a request may be refused.
Requests, and requests for a copy of the manual, go to tinika@kissconsulting.co.za. Note that records we hold on behalf of clients are subject to mandatory protection as third-party confidential and commercial information.
What we are not
Not a registered tax practitioner. KISS Consulting is not registered under section 240 of the Tax Administration Act. We do not give tax advice, do not complete or assist in completing returns for submission to SARS, and do not submit returns on any client's behalf. We prepare the accounting records your registered tax practitioner works from.
Not a financial services provider. We are not authorised under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act and give no advice on investments, insurance, retirement or any other financial product.
Not an audit or assurance service. Our work is not an audit, an independent review, or any other assurance engagement, and expresses no assurance. We do not undertake to detect fraud or irregularity.
